Facility Report (April 2017)

Current Projects:

Tower Floor Changes: 

The changes on the Tower 6 and the move on Tower 5 are continuing. The move on Tower 5 will continue into the summer. On Tower 6 there will be new furniture and paint in the coming weeks. Look for furniture to moved around the tower floors to support this project. Also, keep in the mind this will change the way the floor is used. Following the conclusion of the semester, the access to carrels, lockers, and study rooms will be altered. If you have any questions please find me around the building and I will do my best to answer any questions you might have. 

Surplus:

The surplus run this month was a big help for many people in the building. There will be another run sometime in the month of May. If you are aware of anything you want to be removed from your area please drop me a note so I can get it on my list. 

Upcoming Campus Maintenance:

In the coming weeks, we have the following maintenance that will affect the library. 

Fire Alarm Inspections will happen on May 18th and 19th. The exact time of these test is to be determined at this time. More information will be sent out when received. 

Central Steam for the campus will be shut off from May 12th until May 17th. This outage will affect the hot water, building heat, and steam humidification systems in most buildings on campus. Keep this in mind during that time period.  

Closing Statement: 

The summer is approaching and there will be a lot going on in the building. If you have any questions about the ongoing projects please let me know. I will continue to keep you all up to date as changes occur.
